Landscape and Garden Maintenance

A well-established garden is only the beginning. To keep its function, natural appearance and healthy growth, it needs regular care throughout the year. The lawn needs to be mown, aerated and fed. Trees and shrubs need appropriate pruning. Flower beds, herbs, containers and ornamental planting require ongoing inspection, replenishment of nutrients and protection from weeds.

At Landeco, we provide maintenance of private and public green spaces. We look after lawns, planting, ornamental and fruit trees and shrubs, flower beds, container planting, seasonal clean-ups and specialist work on vegetation. We tailor maintenance to the character of the site, the season and how the garden or green space is meant to function in the long term.

Regular care that keeps your garden in good condition

Landscape maintenance is not just an aesthetic service. Properly planned care helps plants grow well, limits weeds, encourages a dense lawn, extends the lifespan of planting and reduces the risk of minor problems turning into costly interventions over time.

Every garden has different needs. A prestigious garden at a family house needs different care from a corporate site, a park, a meadow, a public green space or plant containers in an urban setting. That is why we adapt maintenance to the specific conditions, the intensity of use and the desired appearance.

What our landscape maintenance covers

Lawn care

Regular mowing helps maintain a compact appearance, but on its own it is not enough. Depending on the condition of the lawn, we also carry out aeration, moss and weed removal, fertilising and other treatments that promote healthy growth of the turf.

In gardens for everyday living, the aim is a hard-wearing and pleasant lawn. For public green spaces or corporate sites, durability in use, simple maintenance and a regular mowing schedule are also important.

Pruning and shaping of trees and shrubs

Trees and shrubs need to be pruned at the right time and in the right way. For ornamental trees and shrubs, this is often about maintaining their shape, moderate growth and natural appearance. For fruit trees, vitality, thinning of the crown and encouraging fruiting are also important.

Professional pruning helps extend the lifespan of trees and shrubs, improve their health and preserve the natural character of the garden. We always choose the work according to the plant species, its age, location and current condition.

Care of beds, plants and containers

Flower beds, perennial planting, herbs, ornamental grasses and container planting need ongoing care. This includes weeding, topping up mulch, feeding, removing dead parts, checking plant health and seasonal tidying.

With containers, it is important to keep an eye on watering, nutrition and the condition of the growing medium. Plants in containers have limited space for their roots and therefore react more quickly to drought, overheating or a lack of nutrients.

Seasonal clean-up and winterising the garden

Each season brings different tasks. In spring, the garden wakes up and needs preparation for the growing season. In summer, regular care of the lawn, beds and watering is important. Autumn brings leaf clearance, tidying of planting and preparing the garden for winter.

Seasonal care can also include winterising the garden, protecting more sensitive plants, covering planting or draining the irrigation system. This helps the garden cope better with winter and resume new growth more quickly in spring.

Mulching, soil cultivation and removal of self-seeded growth

Mulching helps protect the soil, limit weed growth and keep planting in better condition. Soil cultivation is particularly important where the surface is compacted, weedy or has been neglected for a long time.

We also remove ruderal vegetation, i.e. unwanted self-seeded and weed-infested growth on unmaintained or marginal land. This part of the service is suitable for larger gardens, plots before construction, public green spaces or sites where basic order needs to be restored.

Tree felling and specialist work

Care of green spaces can also include specialist tree work, including felling. We assess each situation individually according to the condition of the tree, the safety of the site, activity in the surrounding area and the specific conditions.

With trees, we always consider whether treatment, reduction pruning, stabilisation or removal is more appropriate. The aim is a safe and responsible solution that respects the character of the space and the importance of trees in the garden or landscape.

Maintenance of private gardens, corporate sites and public green spaces

Maintenance can be arranged as a one-off job, a seasonal service or regular long-term care. In private gardens, the focus is often on the lawn, beds, pruning of trees and shrubs, plant care and preparing the garden for winter. On corporate sites, a prestigious appearance, regularity and operational reliability are important. In public green spaces and parks, safety, resilience and efficient care of larger areas also play a role.

Long-term maintenance makes the most sense where it follows on from a well-thought-out design or a new construction. The team then knows the intent of the project, the plants used, the technical features and the expected development of the planting. As a result, care is not limited to routine work, but helps preserve the character of the entire garden.

How we work together

First, we assess the condition of the garden or green space. We are interested in the size of the plot, the type of planting, the condition of the lawn, access to water, existing trees and shrubs, the extent of weeds and the expected intensity of care.

Based on this, we propose the scope of work. This may be regular mowing, seasonal maintenance, care of beds, professional pruning, leaf clearance, winterising the garden or a one-off intervention after a longer period without care.

For larger sites and public green spaces, we recommend setting up a maintenance plan for the whole year. This makes it easier to schedule the work according to the season, the weather and the needs of individual parts of the space.

Why take a long-term approach to maintenance

A garden is constantly changing. Plants grow, the lawn responds to wear and weather, the soil becomes depleted and some parts of the space require gradual adjustments. Regular care makes it possible to respond in good time, not only once a problem is visible at first glance.

Long-term maintenance helps preserve the original intent of the garden design. The planting knits together properly, trees have room for healthy growth, the lawn is kept in good condition and the garden remains pleasant for everyday use.
